We are a private clinical psychology practice based in Hamilton, offering individual therapy and neuropsychological assessments. The Holding Space was created to provide a safe and nurturing space for accessing clarity, connection, and calm and to help you create space in your mind, body, and life for coping, healing, self-understanding, and personal fulfillment.


Your felt sense of safety and acceptance, as well as respect for your unique identity and experiences, is at the cornerstone of our practice. That is why we take our time in understanding you and tailoring therapy to  support you as the unique being that you are, rather than approaching you through the lens of a generalised label or diagnosis first. This is a space where your therapeutic needs are placed at the forefront while we work together in empowering you to achieve your goals and helping you toward your path to greater authenticity and wellbeing.


Using a  range of evidence-based practices, we help support you in navigating various life challenges and conditions, understand and reshape ingrained self-limiting beliefs or unhelpful thought patterns, and address persistent emotional, behavioural, and relational patterns that interfere with you living an authentic, empowered, rich and meaningful life.

A space to prioritise you

Holding Space in therapy involves being fully present with any experience within a safe and accepting environment where one can feel seen, heard, and understood.


It is a space where you are met with a non-judgemental and nurturing presence, so that you can openly explore and honestly  express yourself - trusting that you are with someone who can provide you with an opportunity to be authentic, vulnerable and brave to share things that perhaps you have never explored or expressed before.


In this space, people can safely explore deep within themselves to identify new thoughts, ideas, perspectives, and beliefs.  It also provides as space for people to cultivate new ways of being, experiencing, and relating in their world. Or, just a holding space that can provide a sense of stability and security during times of change or distress.


Together, we can explore the challenges you're facing, at the pace that your nervous system needs. We'll provide guidance and insight, but you are in the driver's seat. Within this space, you can reconnect with your inner wisdom and strengths, allowing you to grow, heal, and live in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
